Joshua Booth- Northfolk

In the clip of the film Northfolk that was showed there was a young boy running in the field with a trunk and there was a piano playing in the background. There were signs of eagerness and resistless all shot in one single frame. The suitcase signified that the boy was going on a journey. In this film they could have picked cattle for the background but they chose the Bison. This is symbolic because Bison are rare and almost extinct just like the town in which they live, Northfork. The town is almost cleared of all families and soon no one will be living there because of the dam.
The second clip shown was of the father and son on the road by themselves. They were at a crossroads in the film and also they were at a crossroads in their life. The father was deciding on what to do with his deceased wife’s body since it was in the graveyard that needed to be excavated. The car had a coffin on top of it while they drove down the dirt road. Everything in the current town was temporary with nothing having a foundation for the future. Compared to the mountains and lakes everything else was temporary.
