Kim Robinson - Misc # 1

As the end of the semester comes everyone starts to feel the stress of the semester. student's have final papers to work on or start thinking about their finals coming up in a few short weeks. Well I'm nodifferent and for the semester here I have final papers due in each of my classes. I'm definitely feeling the stress of trying to do five 10 page research papers in the next few weeks. Also, like any college student I'm feeling the stress of drama which comes from any social life. Well last night I was at the culmination of my stress and didn't know how I would get through the rest of the semester until today and I went at ran the noland and sat for about 30 minutes at the Lion's Gate Bridge on this gorgeous day. As I was sitting there I was feeling better and remembered last summer when I took the AT class and learned about Spirituality in Nature and on the trail. I have to admit I didn't see it then but being physically in nature can really good for the body and soul. Just being out there and letting everything escape but the path that was in front of meand the nature that was around me. It really was a spiritual cleansing for me and it was healing to my mind. I wouldn't go as far as saying I found God on our little Noland Trail but there was definitely something there and it reminded me you can find redemption and in healing in all sorts of places, not just in churches. Church was never something we were forced to do by my parents because they weren't that religious so I haven't grown up feeling a strong connection to God. I believe that something is out there, I just don't know what and today helps remind me that there is something out there looking over us.
