I recently read an article dissecting into the wild that argued that Chris McCandless was in fact a schizophrenia. The about of support of this theory was staggering and it all made sense, along with several doctors that agreed with the diagnosis. Was he a schizo and did he battle with himself and his alter ego Alexander Supertramp kill Chris McCandless? This intrigues me because he is portrayed as such a hero. It is ironic how somebody who people would normally say is crazy (if the diagnosis were true) now look up to him as a hero or an icon. It is interesting how perception frames the way we see things.
