Excellent time to be a sports fan

The NHL playoffs and NBA playoffs are underway. Although, they seem to drag on forever they are indeed very exciting. The Washington Capitals have a solid chance of winning the Stanley Cup, which would be the first championship I would be old enough to remember for D.C. sports team. The Redskins won the Super Bowl when I was like 4, but of course I do not remember that. Its been an awful 21 years of being a D.C. sports fan with no hardware to speak of, unless you count D.C. United in the MLS. Heres to hoping the Capitals can bring home the cup.
