Joshua Booth- Does God does have a future?

I do believe that GOD has a future but only with the persons who believe in GOD. The gods that people worship change over time and new things are always added so yes I do think GOD does have a future. Armstrong points out that atheism or non theists are no longer the painfully acquired ideology of a few intellectual pioneers but a prevailing mood. I am not implying that I am an atheists but I am probably a non theists. It is not out of the ordinary to have a non belief these days. In this chapter she also says that like Freud, the Positivists believed that religious belief represented an immaturity which science would overcome. I think this is a another reason in which why GOD has not had such a popular audience as the GODS had before technology starting proving who is right and perhaps wrong. She also points out in the chapter that 99% of people in the United States believe in some type of GOD. With this many believers there has to be a future in GOD. I think that the nature of the Earth will eventually end all species but in the end there will a GOD of some type. Although the world is becoming more volatile and there seems to be more and more tragedies there has to be an ultimate force or deity that is controlling all of this and us and I am sure we have all gone through this before at some part is our lives. Armstrong says that there are some people who are denying that there is a GOD and there are many who still believe. I personally feel as if you are entitled to your own thoughts and opinions on whatever you like especially religion but there will be a day that comes when we all have to leave our earthly lives and I suppose this would be the time in which people find out if there really is a future (your future) in GOD.
