Tim Powitz - External Reading #3

This blog is about the creation story. How many of you think that there inly one creation in the Bible? Yes, there is only one creation, but there are 2 different accounts. The first is the obvious with the creation of days. The next story is so over looked. The next story is the passage, the story of Adam and Eve is alone a creation story. Genesis 2:4-5 states "This is the account of the heavens and the earth when they were created. When the LORD God made the earth and the heavens- 5 and no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth [d] and no plant of the field had yet sprung up, for the LORD God had not sent rain on the earth [e] and there was no man to work the ground." If there is only one creation story, then God had already created heavens and Earth, and plants, and man. I know that the creation myth is a very touchy subject, and I am NOT calling out any contradictions. So there are 2 stories, so what? We're here, right? Obviously, we and everything in and of the earth was given man from God. That's it, plain and simple.
