The Night Tourist (readings 2)

The Night Tourist by Katherine Marsh is a young adult novel that I had to read for a course on multicultural literature. The text is based on the myth of Eurydice and Orpheus. I think it is great that authors can take religion and turn it into an entirely different story. This particular text made it a little obvious, which was not as fun. I think it kind of related to our course as well; how there is a film and it is pure entertainment in one aspect, but there is so much more if you read into it a little. Books like The Night Tourist and films like the one's we've watched in class help to show people that there is so much more than that which meets the eyes
