Brian O'Connor--Decalogue (No other Gods)

This movie was about the first commandment, "Though shall have no other Gods before me." This movie was a little more interesting because it was similar to people's actions of today. The dad was so set on the program that he wrote; he trusted it with everything in his life. He made his son learn it so that he could also make "educated" decisions with it. The dad trusted it so much that when his son wanted to go skating on the pond nearby, they went out and took the measurements to see if it was safe. After taking the measurements they plugged them into the program. When the dad said things were safe after l0oking at the program, the kid goes skating and gets lost under the ice. the shows that people trust so much in the technology that envelops their lives that we don't look to make decisions on our own. That's where the real judgment of the situation comes into play.
