I just recently read the book Into the wild. Into the wild is the story of Chris McCandless journey across the country to Alaska which was the place of his death. He was in search of God, and to discover what it meant to see God untainted by society. To Christ the only place he could find this was in the Alaskan wilderness. When there he found what he was looking for while learning to rely on himself and the wild which ultimately meant he was also relying on God to survive. Chris eventually realized he was lonely but could not leave because it was coincidentally the wild that trapped him and killed him.
