Justin Ferry - Decalogue 1
In this short film that we viewed about a boy who lived with his father, we see tragedy strike. The little boy one day after schooling, goes out to the ice pond to skate and eventually falls into the ice and dies. Sometimes we put too much faith in technology or other non tangible things today and it ends up hurting us. I know I have a friend who trusts his stupid GPS too much and it gets him lost all the time. If he just took the time to learn where he was and the area he drove in, then he would not have to worry about technical difficulties. I think the boy should have not trusted the computers calculations of the ice thickness. It would have saved his life.
