2 Corinthians 12:9 reads,
The LORD said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness."
This reminds me of the moment in Big Fish when Ed approaches Karl the giant to ask him to leave town. He is the strongest young man in town according to his story, but he wouldn't stand a chance against a giant who has been eating the town livestock whole. I think it is very likely that he would want God's power backing up his own weakness in the moment he approaches Karl.
