Jared Free – Miscellaneous Thoughts
I drove out to Virginia Tech to visit a friend this weekend. The drive was amazing, better than the visit itself in fact. There’s almost nothing better for me than a long road trip; particularly one where I’m by myself and can control everything from the radio to the decision of windows up or down. They were down for the trip, with the sun roof open. The weather was perfect, and driving through the mountains was amazing. The whole experience was almost therapeutic. For 8 hours, four there and four back, I completely forgot about tests and exams, bills and getting to work on time, and having to come up with material for 12 new blogs. It was as if I was retired, and the biggest decision I had to make was when and where to stop for lunch. Being a trucker might be a good career for me.
