Joe Pascale- Misc V
Sine this class is a religion course, well I figured why not talk about church. This is just something that has been on my mind lately, figured I go ahead and put it out there. I attend a Methodist church when I am back home. Yet the new preacher sounds more like an evangelical baptist preacher than Methodist. So my question is, how do preacher become educated of certain denominations. I mean, do they go and learn for a specific denomination or do they go to a "one-size-fits-all" type school and then choose which church they prefer to preach at? If the latter is true, what keeps a preacher more suited for a Baptism congregation from going to a Methodist church. Come to think of it, what conditions really distinguish a Methodist from a Baptist or any other denomination? Are there really that much difference in the belief core of denominations?
