Miscellaneous Blog Topic III : Mary Kate Curry

What has become my newest hobby may prove fatal to my end-of-term papers and exam studying. I used to avoid people as a rule of thumb; I would be grossed out or turned off by some facet of a person, be it external or internal, and that disgust would turn to aversion. But as of late, I have come to thoroughly enjoy watching people--and appreciating, in some strange way--those tics and quirks that I once found so abhorrent. A campus as small as CNU's affords a people-watcher an excellent field of study; people are creatures of habit; but these habits, instead of boring in their repetition, are fascinating. I have grown to feel fondly for the boy in saggy jeans who always holds the door open for the people behind him; and I have wanted to ask the tearful girl always on her phone outside of my residence hall if everything's going okay. I have changed, and I think for the better.
