Sean Burns- Death and Life

Why are the events of death and life so important. Death and life are always constant events that span the emotional scale. Life is usually a blessed and happy time and death is associated with mourning and sorrow. When a baby is born a celebration to welcome the baby takes place. The baby receives gifts and money that will allow the child a good start to life. Though when one dies much attention is placed on time. "It wasn't their time" or "It's too soon" is often heard. We know very little about death and what is next. We are afraid. Life doesn't start until the baby enters the world but death is seen as the end. The question that scares us is, "Is death the end?" I am not sure and we are afraid of what we don't know. The real question should be, "What should we do with the time we have?" Birth and Death are great points in time but it is the time in between which is the most important.
