Eric Saxon - Acts of religion in baseball

Anyone who watches baseball notices religion in almost every game. After getting a hit or striking someone out, some players point to the sky or make the sign of the cross. Honestly, I don't really agree with this. God has given these individuals the skill to play baseball professionally. I do not believe that God involves himself in baseball games. If someone gets a hit and thanks God, does that mean that God does not like the pitcher who gave up the hit? Players are free to express themselves on the field, but I do not believe that God has anything to do with whether they perform well or not. Like I said, God has given these men the talent to play baseball professionally. They do not need to thank God for every single hit they get. They should thank God for giving them the ability to play the game professionally.
