Jared Free – “Bunny Cartoon” Clip

The things that came to mind as I was watching the clip of the rabbit making the cake were: poor, lonely, anything’s better than the life you’re living. A lot of people seemed to think the clip was very uplifting, but I found it depressing. It was very sad to see the rabbit living alone. The film made me think of several questions: When we die are we all just moths, moving toward the light? Was the rabbit bitter to still be alive for so long after the person it loved had died? I don’t think the rabbit wanted to live or it would have taken the moth out of the cake batter. Was the moth his escort into the after life? Maybe at first, the rabbit wasn’t able to accept death so it tried to shut the moth out.
